Under the Energy Security Support Facility (ESSF), businesses and OSMDs can obtain financing through EBRD partner banks for the following solutions:

The capacity of an industrial solar power plant should be selected not only according to the budget but, first and foremost, based on actual energy consumption, the operating schedule of the business, and the objectives of the future system.
Calculating the capacity of a solar power plant for a business includes the following stages:
- Analysis of the electricity consumption profile. Engineers analyze hourly or 15-minute consumption data for the last 12 months, base and peak loads, seasonality, equipment operating schedules, and potential increases in energy consumption.
- Solar power generation calculation. The calculation takes into account the installation region, solar radiation, panel orientation and tilt angle, shading, available area, technical losses, and seasonal fluctuations in power generation.
- Determining the optimal solar power plant capacity. The system capacity is selected according to the project objectives: reducing electricity consumption from the grid, maximizing self-consumption of solar generation, backup power supply for the business, or exporting surplus electricity to the grid under the Net Billing mechanism for businesses.
