Battery cabinets and modules
Battery Cabinet with storage modules is the energy capacity of a BESS system: it determines how many hours of autonomous operation the facility can maintain and how much energy the system can deliver during peak periods or grid outages.
The catalog features a LiFePO4 energy storage system — lithium iron phosphate industrial batteries that have become an industry standard for BESS due to their high charge-discharge cycle life, stable operation under load, and enhanced fire safety compared with other battery chemistries. Ready-made modules have a voltage of 51.2 V and a capacity starting from ~5 kWh each. For greater total capacity, the modules are combined into a battery cabinet according to the requirements of a specific facility.
Industrial Batteries: How to Select Them by Specifications
Industrial batteries for BESS are selected based on three key parameters:
- Capacity (kWh) — determines how long the facility can operate autonomously without recharging.
- Voltage (12 / 24 / 48 V) — must correspond to the configuration of the system inverter (PCS).
- Battery chemistry — LiFePO4 is currently the main available option; AGM and GEL batteries are available on request for specific project solutions.
A battery module for a solar power plant is selected together with the inverter (PCS). The inverter determines the compatible voltage and controls the charging/discharging of the energy storage system, while excess solar generation is directed to charge the battery cabinet instead of being wasted during periods of low consumption. For typical autonomous power supply scenarios without the need to select each component separately, ready-made backup power supply kits / energy storage systems are available.
