Task:

To provide backup power supply for the academic buildings, the Professional College “Universum,” and the dormitory of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University by supplying diesel generator sets, including on-site installation, electrical connection, and commissioning in accordance with customized engineering design solutions.

Customized Engineering Solutions for Different Types of Buildings

The project covered several university facilities simultaneously, including academic buildings, the Professional College "Universum," and a student dormitory. Each facility had its own electrical distribution system, load profile, and structural characteristics. Therefore, a separate engineering solution was developed for each site to integrate the diesel generator sets into the existing Main Distribution Boards (MDBs).

Implementation Without Interrupting University Operations

Installation and electrical connection works were carried out at fully operational facilities without interrupting the educational process or student accommodation in the dormitory. All activities were performed in stages, minimizing the impact on university operations while ensuring full compliance with electrical safety requirements.

Comprehensive Turnkey Project Implementation

The project included a complete implementation cycle, from engineering design and approval of technical solutions to equipment commissioning and verification of the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) system operation.

The SMART GRID team delivered a complete turnkey solution, including:

engineering design of backup power supply systems;
preparation of design and cost estimate documentation, including cost estimate expert review;
supply of Smart Grid diesel generator sets;
equipment installation;
integration of the generators into the existing electrical infrastructure;
installation and configuration of Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) systems;
commissioning and start-up works;
putting the equipment into operation.

Smart Grid DG-B275 diesel generator sets — 2 units;
Smart Grid DG-B165 diesel generator set — 1 unit;
Smart Grid DG-B55 diesel generator set — 1 unit.

Result:

✔️ The university facilities were provided with a reliable backup power supply system.

✔️ Automatic switching to backup power is ensured in the event of a power outage in the main electrical grid.

✔️ All works were completed in full compliance with the technical requirements and within the contractual deadlines.

✔️ The Customer officially confirmed that Smart Grid LLC fulfilled all contractual obligations, supplied equipment fully compliant with the technical specifications, and completed delivery within the agreed timeframe.

Smart Grid LLC successfully supplied diesel generators to Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University in accordance with the signed contracts.

The delivery was carried out in full compliance with all contractual requirements, including the technical specifications, delivery deadlines, and transportation conditions.
